Tagging a Tiger shark means catching one first which is easier said than done. The shark is brought alongside the boat, measured up and then tagged. The whole procedure must take a minimum of time. Afterwards the shark often needs a jump start which means swimming with it and pushing it forwards - it then suddenly seems to find it's energy and swims off.
