The Sapona was a concrete ship built in 1920 and then sold to a rum runner, Bruce Bethel, from the Bahamas. He kept the Sapona near Bimini and stored his rum in her during prohibition using the ship as a floating warehouse. In 1926 the Sipona ran onto the reef during a hurricane and broke apart. Now she is an excellent spot for snorkelling as there are lots and lots of fish around her and in her. Some people also jump off the Sipona for fun - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JufWgd3iVdI
