Bimini shark encounter 2007 - bull shark gallery

On the 2007 shark encounter we went to try to find some nurse sharks. After about 30mins of snorkelling around and no nurse sharks as yet we got a big surprise when a 2m bull shark swam towards us. Some people shouted "Bull shark" and some of our group jumped into the safety of the boat, whilst some hung around to see what would happen. This was a female Bull shark and had fresh mating scars. Weirdly she was also pregnant - usually pregnant Bull sharks will not mate as they run on a 2 year cycle - maybe she was just having fun......In the end the shark stayed with us for about 30mins and was joined a short while after appearing by a big nurse shark so we got what we were looking for and more!
